Solid Texas barbecue in downtown Greenville. Staff and service was polite and prompt, and the free sample up front was a great thing to walk in to. The brisket was flavorful, juicy, and tender. Macaroni was very good, collards were good, and the fries were a unique find: very thick, while still soft and cooked through. Served with all the typical barbecue accouterments in a cute trendy venue at a reasonable price point. Would definitely recommend and return.

I spent a lot of years in Kansas and Texas and let me say it...I'm a brisket snob! They do it right here at Lewis BBQ! High quality cuts of brisket cooked properly. The bark, the ring, the moistness, the full flavor. My wife and I had the Sliced Brisket Sandwich and could have eaten the whole thing without any sauce. Yet we did enjoy all three of their sauces. The sides did not disappoint. We shared three sides: Green Chili Corn Pudding, Mac & Cheese, Creamy Potato Salad. All three were fresh, flavorful and served in generous portions. We also sampled both kinds of sausage. Juicy flavor bombs. Leftovers to look forward to! As a former member of a competitive BBQ team I have to say this is some of the best I've had in the area and I've lived in Alabama, Georgia and now South Carolina. I highly recommend this place. The staff is great, the atmosphere is fun and the food is a collection of incredible edibles. Just go! You'll be glad you did!

I’ve heard all the hype and confirmed it is true. Seriously good barbecue. But there is more than just great food here. Normally I hate waiting in a line, but theirs is very efficient - like Chipotle except twice as fast. The servers were very nice and professional. They asked if we had ever been before and since it was our first time they were very informative and helpful. The weather was perfect for the outdoor patio style dining area. The pricing was a little on the high side for barbecue but not crazy high. The brisket is worth it. I judge all barbecue restaurants by the quality of the brisket. Lewis brisket is must-have. Great place. Will definitely be back.

I came here to see if they were as good as their Charleston location, and they did not disappoint! Consistency is everything. Their brisket is so good. Really good smokey flavor but not overly smokey that it overpowers the great seasonings and flavor of the brisket itself. The corn pudding was pretty good too. They have some great sauces, but the green chili is definitely my favorite. Give them a try if you're in the mood for some good Barbeque!

The service is awesome! I felt welcomed. Now, I was not expecting the food experience I had. I had sliced brisket, pork spareribs, pulled pork nachos, and turkey. 1) Nachos: they were spicy, because of their queso. Not that I mind eating spicy, but it was the stubborn one that stays in the back on your throat and won’t allow you to enjoy other flavors. Pulled pork was delicious, though. 2) Turkey: good. Right in the line of being dry, but not quite there. 3) Sliced Brisket: it was good flavor wise, but we ordered it tender and it mainly had fat rather actual meat. Again, flavor was outstanding but could improve its texture. 4) Spareribs: finger-liking good! We also had mac and cheese, and it could benefit from adding some flavor. It tasted like pasta with cheese, nothing special. Fries were good and crispy. Judging by my experience, I found it to be pricey. Its price doesn’t fit the flavor. In would return and still recommend this place.

Oh my goodness!! This place is it!! You get what you pay for and boy is it good! 100.00 for this tray. The brisket was the best Ive ever had in the Carolinas and I've tried quite a few. The mac and cheese was the best ever!! We ate outside it was beautiful!!

The hype is strong with this place. My wife isn’t a huge bbq fan but she actually said she would come back to this place! Food, service and drinks are all spot on. Shared a few things and everything was great. Would highly recommend this place if you are looking for some good bbq. Pictured is the chips and cheese dip, Mac n cheese, potato salad, banana pudding, dirt pie, lean sliced brisket (.5 lbs), spicy Texas sausage, cheddar jalapeño sausage and some pulled pork (.5 lbs).

The absolute best BBQ in Greenville, the Brisket there is next level! You can even take s as smoke house tour to see how it’s done, If you’re looking for the absolute best, this is it! They will even give samples of the meats, you can choose fatty or lean or some where in between, spoil your self went a trip to Lewis BBQ just a WOW!
